Apologies if I've been neglecting my blogging and tweeting recently, I've been rushing manically to complete another erotic tale. This one is named SLAVE TO THE BELT and it's a bit of a departure for me in several ways.

For starters, it's my first attempt to include a male point of view in the narrative. As usual, the central character is female, but this time we get to find out what the guys are thinking as well.

I've also changed things up in a big way by setting my story in America. As a British writer, this meant trying to write in an American accent. Did I pull it off? Eek, guess I'll have to wait and find out – I'm sure you'll let me know, folks …

But why would I do such a foolhardy thing? Well, first off, the story kinda came to me that way. A glitzy-yet-seedy L.A. seemed the natural backdrop for my twisted tale. I suppose I could have gone for a London setting instead, but as a writer you ignore your first instincts at your peril.

Also, American culture has an enormous grip on my imagination, so there was no problem getting my creative juices flowing. Plus, I just love a challenge.

Anyway, I hope my American readers won't be offended by my hubris, and will be gracious enough to turn a blind eye to any, er, schoolgirl errors. If you've been noticing a lack of recent updates and wondering what has become of me, the answer is I've been scribbling away at my latest story, which is now available from Amazon. Anna And Her Master is a change from my usual CFNM tales -- this time, it's all about whipping and spanking, and the submissive role is taken by the female character.

Why the new direction? Well, I've always said that CFNM isn't the only fetish that appeals to me, although it certainly has a special place in my heart. This time I wanted to write a story than puts the pleasure of pain front and centre, and also change things up by looking at things from the point of view of the submissive character. And, as I like my central characters to be women, that pretty much dictated a master-slavegirl dynamic.

So what's this new story like? Well, it's as sexually explicit as anything as I've written before, but there's a tender, romantic strain too, and plenty of my usual catty humour. I really grew fond of these characters, and if the first installment of their adventures is a success, there's every chance I'll return to them soon.

Does this mean I've abandoned CFNM? Definitely not, but I do hope you enjoy this excursion into new territory.

Experience versus Imagination

I often receive messages from guys offering to hook up with me. I'm doubly thankful, as for some reason folks seem quite shy of reviewing my little books (either that, or they can't think of anything nice to say about em - eek!) If you've read one of my stories and you're humming and hahhing about whether to review it, can I just say - in my best sultry seductress voice - that I'd be so very, very, very grateful ...?

Here's what he wrote:

I loved this book! Cassie Caine's enthusiasm for CFNM really comes through in the story of Michelle as she discovers the excitement of holding power over a naked man. I think this is what makes CFNM so exciting for men like myself is the idea of women being as voyeuristic as ourselves and using men as sex objects. So reading about how much Michelle is aroused by what she is instigating is as much of a turn-on as the sex itself.

I have to admit that, while I love CFNM situations in general, I'm not actually that keen on the full-on humiliation, sissification and pegging which can accompany it. So it is a credit to the author's talent as a writer that when these elements appear in the story I didn't find it off-putting. I loved the character of Michelle which was expressed in these scenes, I was amused by the humorous details and I was held by the story as a story, wanting to know what was going to happen next.

And, while there were those scenes which involved things happening to the main male character that I wouldn't want to happen to me, there were also scenes which very much appealed to my own personal fantasies and which were extremely arousing. And there is a sweetness, playfulness and tenderness underneath it all which is very winning.

When did I first learn about CFNM?

One of my earliest erotic memories is of sitting in the local library, a mousy 9-year-old with a fondness for reading. My little hand is flipping through the pages of a book about classical Greek vase paintings which I'd managed to heft down with difficulty from the shelves of the art section.

It's been a busy old November. What's my favourite CFNM scenario? It's a question I'm often asked. And its a toughie – mainly because they all have something to offer the discerning female.
